Haures figures also as Hauras and Flauros, depending on the copy. He presents himself as a leopard and, when commanded, takes the form of a man with eyes of flaming fire. No historical antecedent can be asserted. His grade is that of Duke, Venus in the text's planetary distribution, and he commands thirty-six legions. He was consulted on past, present and future, and charged with burning and destroying the enemies of the one who called him. The warning is central to his entry: outside the triangle he lies in everything, and only within it does he answer truthfully about the fall of the spirits.
