A unicorn that, when commanded, takes the form of a man amid trumpets and music whose players remain unseen: Amdusias, also Amduscias or Amdukias, is the musician spirit of this stretch. No etymology can be taken as certain. A Duke by grade, with Venus as his corresponding planet, he disposes of twenty-nine legions. He was invoked to make all manner of instruments sound, to obtain good familiar spirits, and for one very particular power: to incline and bend trees at will. The combination of invisible concert and obedient grove makes his entry one of the most visual in the manuscript.
