Zagan, o Zagam, reúne dos grados en una sola entrada: rey y presidente, caso poco frecuente. Los reyes mandan sobre otros espíritus y el texto los asocia al Sol; los presidentes, a Mercurio, y aquí ambos registros conviven sobre treinta y tres legiones. Aparece como toro con alas de grifo antes de tomar cuerpo humano, y no hay etimología firme documentada. Se le pedía ingenio, hacer sabio al necio y una serie de transmutaciones muy concretas: agua en vino, sangre en vino, vino en agua y metal en moneda. Ese último punto lo acerca menos a la alquimia que a la acuñación clandestina.

Zagan, or Zagam, combines two grades in a single entry: King and President, an uncommon case. Kings command other spirits and the text associates them with the Sun; Presidents belong to Mercury, and here both registers coexist over thirty-three legions. He appears as a bull with griffin's wings before taking human form, and no firm etymology is documented. He was asked for wit, for making the foolish wise, and for a series of very concrete transmutations: water into wine, blood into wine, wine into water and metal into coin. That last item places him closer to clandestine minting than to alchemy.
