El manuscrito no le da antecedente a Marchosias, pero sí una biografía: perteneció a la Orden de las Dominaciones y dijo al operador que esperaba volver al Séptimo Trono al cabo de mil doscientos años, detalle que lo convierte en uno de los pocos espíritus del libro con expectativa de retorno. Es gran marqués poderoso, grado lunar, con treinta legiones. Lo que se le pedía era combate y verdad: el texto lo llama fuerte combatiente y asegura que responde sin engaño. Aparece como loba alada que vomita fuego y, si se le manda, toma figura de hombre.

The manuscript gives Marchosias no antecedent, but it does give him a biography: he belonged to the Order of Dominions and told the operator that he hoped to return to the Seventh Throne after twelve hundred years, a detail that makes him one of the few spirits in the book with any expectation of return. He is a Great and Mighty Marquis, a lunar grade, with thirty legions. What was asked of him was combat and truth: the text calls him a strong fighter and assures us that he answers without deceit. He appears as a winged she-wolf vomiting fire and, if commanded, takes the shape of a man.
