He closes this first block as a strong and mighty Duke, a Venusian rank, with 30 legions. He is also named Bathym and Marthim, with no firm etymology known. His figure is a robust man with a serpent's tail mounted on a pale horse, the same steed the text gives to Beleth. He unites two very different competences: he knows the virtues of herbs and precious stones - the pharmaceutical and lapidary learning proper to the medicine of the period - and he carries men instantly from one country to another. That conveyance is his most frequently cited trait.
