"God who gives joy" the name says, formed from three letters of the Shem HaMephorash, the 72-letter series the tradition deduces from Exodus 14:19-21, and the ending -EL, which inscribes him within power. He serves among the Powers, the rank that according to Pseudo-Dionysius holds disorder in check, under Camael, from 9 to 13 October. He is petitioned for release from captivity, consolation in mourning and favour for artists and copyists. Rudd sets him against Raum, who steals and ruins dignities: despoiling against the restoration of spirit.
