The name ends in -IAH, a suffix that in the tradition points to divine mercy, and reads "God of hope"; its three letters come from the 72-letter series that kabbalah extracts from Exodus 14:19-21. Lenain places him among the Powers, the rank that in Pseudo-Dionysius curbs disorder, governed by Camael, from 29 September to 3 October. He is invoked for the right ordering of ritual and against fraud and imposture. Facing him, Halphas raises towers and arms soldiers: cult against war.
