With no verifiable historical antecedent behind the name, this entry rests entirely on its description and its powers. The grade is Great and Strong Marquis, with fifty legions, a high figure within the book; the marquisate corresponds to the Moon, although Sabnock's repertoire is wholly terrestrial and martial. Construction and infection are asked of him in equal measure: he raises high towers, castles and whole cities, and afflicts whomever he is pointed at with sores and putrid wounds full of worms. He also gives good familiars to the operator. He presents himself armed, with a lion's head, mounted on a pale horse.
