The name ends in -IAH, the ending associated with the merciful aspect of the divine name, over the three letters that fall to it in the Shem HaMephorash; it is rendered "God who knows all things." It opens the choir of the Powers, who in Pseudo-Dionysius restrain disorder and hold down the rebel spirits, with Camael as archangel, from 3 to 7 September. It is invoked to expose traitors. Its counterpart is Gaap, the prince who provokes love or hatred and carries men between kingdoms: enmity sown against treachery revealed.
