Three letters and the suffix -IAH, which the tradition associates with mercy, form Asaliah, "God who points to the truth", within the series kabbalah draws from the three 72-letter versions of Exodus 14:19-21. He belongs to the Virtues, the rank Pseudo-Dionysius links to miracle and natural order, with Raphael as archangel, from 13 to 17 November. He is invoked for contemplation and for discerning what is true. Uvall, his twin in number, procures the love of women and recounts the past: desire against discernment.
