Three letters of the Shem HaMephorash sealed in -EL, a mark of power rather than of clemency, give a name rendered "God who punishes the wicked." It figures among the Dominions, the choir that regulates the order of the hierarchy according to Pseudo-Dionysius, under Tsadkiel, from 2 to 6 August. It is asked to spread teaching and to disarm defamers. Rudd's Goetia sets it against Ronove, who teaches rhetoric and tongues and wins the favour of friends and enemies alike: eloquence without a cause against doctrine with one.
