The kabbalistic tradition forms it from three letters of the Shem HaMephorash and the suffix -EL, which points to power; it is rendered "God swift to succour." It stands among the Dominions, the choir that regulates the celestial hierarchy according to Pseudo-Dionysius, with Tsadkiel as archangel, from 13 to 17 August. It is invoked to be freed from enemies and to sustain meditation. To it corresponds Astaroth, the duke who declares secrets and answers for the fall of the spirits: a secret that binds against release.
