El nombre reúne tres letras del Shemhamphorash con el sufijo -EL, que en la tradición señala la potencia; significa «Dios loable». Es de los Serafines, primer coro de la jerarquía de Pseudo-Dionisio, cuya función es arder ante el trono, y su regente es Metatrón, del 15 al 20 de abril. Se le pide luz, curación y buen nombre público. Su par goético es Valefor, duque que induce al robo y se ofrece como familiar: rapiña en la sombra contra reputación a plena luz.

The name joins three letters of the Shem HaMephorash to the suffix -EL, which in the tradition marks power; it means "God worthy of praise." It is of the Seraphim, the first choir in the hierarchy of Pseudo-Dionysius, whose office is to burn before the throne, and its regent is Metatron, from 15 to 20 April. Light, healing and a good public name are asked of it. Its Goetic pair is Valefor, the duke who tempts to theft and offers himself as a familiar: plunder in shadow against reputation in full daylight.
