Anauel, "infinitely good God", combines three letters of the Shem HaMephorash with -EL, the suffix the tradition associates with power. He is counted among the Archangels, the rank that in Dionysian angelology bears weighty announcements, governed by Michael, from 31 January to 4 February. He is petitioned for prosperity in commerce, union among partners and protection against accidents. Andras, his twin in number, passes for a sower of discord and a killer of the unwary: dissension against concord.
